The public offering of 10,350,000 American depositary shares, representing 41,400,000 ordinary shares of China Lodging Group, including the full exercise of the underwriters’ over-allotment option, totaled approximately US$126.8 million.
China Lodging Group is a leading economy hotel chain operator in China, with 236 hotels and 28,360 rooms in 39 cities across China as of December 31, 2009 operated under three hotel brands: HanTing Express Hotel, HanTing Seasons Hotel and HanTing HI Inn.
