Meyerson, partner and head of Simpson Thacher's financial institutions practice, will co-chair Practising Law Institute's "Banking Law Update 2009: Shaping the Future of the Financial Services System" seminar on December 9, 2009 in New York City. Simpson Thacher financial institutions partner Ellen Reilly Patterson will speak on the "Non-Strategic Investors in Banking Organizations" panel. The panel will discuss the FDIC policy statement on qualification to purchase banks in receivership, issues for investor consortia, disclosure and reporting, and liability considerations.
