Firm Represents Accenture in Move to Ireland

Simpson Thacher represented Accenture in a transaction in which Accenture plc, a newly formed Irish public limited company, became the parent company for the Accenture group of companies. In connection with this transaction, Accenture filed a proxy statement with the SEC to solicit shareholder approval. Upon receiving shareholder approval for the transaction and the sanction of the Supreme Court of Bermuda, Accenture Ltd, the Bermuda predecessor reporting company, became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Accenture plc. Accenture plc Class A ordinary shares began trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker "ACN" on September 1, 2009.

Accenture is a global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company. Accenture collaborates with clients to help them become high-performance businesses and governments. With approximately 177,000 people serving clients in over 120 countries, the company generated net revenues of US$23.39 billion for the fiscal year ended Aug. 31, 2008.
