Simpson Thacher is representing L-3 Communications Corporation in its acquisition of the electro-optical systems business of Northrop Grumman Guidance and Electronics Company Inc., a subsidiary of Northrop Grumann Corporation. The transaction is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2008, subject to HSR approval and other customary closing conditions.
