Simpson Thacher Represents Hellman & Friedman in Investment in Emdeon Business Services

The Firm represented affiliates of Hellman & Friedman LLC in their investment in Emdeon Business Services, a leading provider of revenue cycle management and clinical communication solutions that enable payors, providers and patients to improve healthcare business processes. The transaction closed on February 8, 2008. In the transaction, affiliates of Hellman & Friedman LLC joined with an affiliate of General Atlantic LLC to acquire the 48% interest in Emdeon Business Services owned by HLTH Corporation, a publicly traded company (NASDAQ: HLTH).
