Simpson Thacher's London office recently represented Apax on the financing aspects of the acquisition of EMAP PLC (a UK publicly listed media company) by Eden Bidco Limited. A recommended scheme of arrangement was announced on 21st December. Total deal size circa GBP1bn. The deal team consisted of Stephen Short, Kate Mulligan and Kasia Walawska.
