Simpson Thacher represented The Blackstone Group in the establishment of its fifth general corporate private equity fund, Blackstone Capital Partners V L.P. ("BCP V"). Blackstone has announced that BCP V raised $15.6 billion of total commitments from more than 300 U.S. and international investors, making BCP V the largest single private equity fund ever raised.
