Six Simpson Thacher Lawyers Named "Best of the Best 2005"

The International Financial Law Review has named the top lawyers in the world for its "2005 Best of the Best" guide with Simpson Thacher earning an impressive six nominations. They include: Dick Beattie who received more nominations than any other M&A lawyer worldwide, and Casey Cogut for M&A; Paul Ford, who received more nominations than any other U.S. lawyer in any category, and David Sneider for Capital Markets; and Barry Ostrager and Mary Kay Vyskocil for Insurance and Reinsurance, making Simpson Thacher the only U.S. firm with two nominations in Insurance and Reinsurance. The IFLR Guide selects the top 25 lawyers globally in several different practice areas. Nominations are made by in-house counsel and legal peers following 18 months of independent research.
