The Firm sponsored the NYSE Boardroom Summit 2016 which took place on October 5-6 in New York. Corporate Partners Caroline Gottschalk and Mario Ponce conducted an interactive session on shareholder activism, addressing potential risk factors and what directors should know before engaging with an activist. Litigation Partners Nicholas Goldin and Mark Stein led a workshop titled “Approaches to Handling an FCPA Issue,” and Litigation Partners Peter Bresnan and Josh Levine led a workshop titled “Government’s Priorities in Charging Individuals,” both of which explored risk and regulatory challenges facing boards and management. Additionally, Partners Maripat Alpuche, Alexis Coll-Very, Elizabeth Cooper, Nicholas Goldin, Karen Hsu Kelley, A.J. Kess, Alan Klein, Larry Moss, Michael Nathan and Art Robinson; Senior Counsel Jamin Koslowe; Counsel Janice Brunner; and Senior Associate Yafit Cohn facilitated the Summit’s “peer exchange” sessions – half-day sessions held exclusively for committee chairs, lead directors and general counsel of publicly traded companies to discuss and exchange insights on critical issues and challenges facing public companies and their boards.
