Yoonji Woo

Yoonji Woo is a Partner in the Private Funds group at Simpson Thacher. Yoonji’s practice focuses on private equity fund formation and operations and she has represented sponsors in connection with infrastructure funds, buyout funds and real estate funds, along with co-investment funds, separately managed accounts, funds-of-one and similar custom arrangements. Yoonji also has experience representing venture capital funds, and routinely advised first-time fund managers.

Representative transactions on which Yoonji has worked include:

• Stonepeak in connection with multiple fundraises, including its buyout fund, its core infrastructure fund, various co-investment vehicles and separately managed accounts
• Carlyle in connection with multiple fundraises, including Carlyle Europe Partners V and Abingworth’s Clinical Co-Development Co-Investment Fund
• CBRE in connection with its core real estate fund and credit fund
• Rockpoint in connection with its growth and income fund and opportunity fund.
• Blackstone/GSO in connection with its European Senior Debt Fund
• Blackstone in its establishment of Blackstone Infrastructure Partners
• Apollo in connection with various separately managed accounts
• Morgan Stanley in the establishment of North Haven Tactical Value Fund, its inaugural tactical value fund

Yoonji received her J.D. from Columbia Law School and her B.A. magna cum laude from Yale University. She is admitted to practice in New York.
