Sunny Cheong is a Partner in Simpson Thacher’s Capital Markets Practice. She represents issuers, private equity sponsors and investment banks on a wide range of securities transactions, including initial public offerings, follow-on and secondary offerings of common and preferred equity, high yield debt offerings, acquisition financings, liability management and other complex structuring matters. Sunny also has extensive experience in convertible securities transactions and private investments in public equity (PIPEs). She represents clients in a variety of industries, including healthcare, retail and technology. Sunny’s client representations include KKR, Silver Lake, Academy Sports & Outdoors, Acelity, Avantor, National Vision and PTC.
