Sarah’s recent matters have included:

  • Successfully prosecuting Suffolk Regional Off-Track Betting Corporation’s fraud claims against the manager of its video lottery terminal facility;
  • Representing Berkshire Hathaway-managed insurers in litigations and arbitrations concerning reinsurance recoveries;
  • Representing a consumer goods company in connection with an SEC investigation into accounting matters;
  • Representing an Ivy-League university in connection with tax-related litigation;
  • Advising Hovnanian Enterprises, Inc. in defending against market manipulation claims regarding credit default swaps;
  • Representing the Board of a property casualty insurer in connection with multijurisdictional litigation and regulatory inquiries concerning accounting practices; and
  • Successfully resolved multi-billion dollar Medicare fraud claims against City of New York related to its home health care program.

Sarah is also committed to pro bono work, most recently successfully defeating a lawsuit brought by Midwood, Brooklyn residents to prevent the Urban Dove Team Charter School from re-locating to the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s childhood synagogue. Sarah successfully argued the motion.

Sarah received her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 2009, and her B.A., magna cum laude, from Barnard College, Columbia University. She served as a law clerk to the late Hon. William H. Pauley, III of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. Sarah is admitted to practice in New York, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York, and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals.
