Hadrien Servais is a Partner in Simpson Thacher’s Alternative Capital and Private Credit group and leads the European Private Credit team. He has extensive experience advising direct lenders, major investment banks, private capital providers and private equity sponsors on cross-border acquisitions, complex banking and credit transactions, leveraged finance, opportunistic credit financings, direct loans, syndicated credit facilities and debt financing solutions spanning all market cycles.

Hadrien was recognized among Belgium’s 40 Under 40 in 2021, as well as a “Leading Individual” by Legal 500, a leading lawyer by Chambers Global, and a “Highly Regarded Lawyer” by IFLR1000.

Hadrien received his LL.M. from New York University in 2013 where he was graduate editor of NYU Journal of Law and Business and the recipient of the David H. Moses Memorial Prize, the David Moses Memorial Prize for the member of the LL.M. class with the highest academic average (rank 1/515) and the George Colin Award for distiction in the LL.M. Corporation Law Program. He received his J.D., summa cum laude, from Université catholique de Louvain in 2010 and his Bachelors’ degree in Law, magna cum laude, from Université de Namur in 2008.
