Based in Los Angeles, Elliott advises a broad array of alternative asset management firms and sponsors on the formation, structuring and operation of their private equity and private investment funds. He has represented some of the world’s largest and most high-profile private equity sponsors on the development of vehicles across numerous asset classes, including buyout, real estate, secondaries, credit, co-investment arrangements and separately managed accounts. Elliott’s experience has included representing Blackstone, Platinum Equity, Hellman & Friedman, Rockpoint and Sixth Street.
Elliott’s recent representations include:
- Platinum Equity in a number of fundraisings, including a continuation fund and various co-investment vehicles
- Hellman & Friedman in a number of fundraisings, including the establishment of the $24.4 billion Hellman & Friedman Capital Partners X
- Blackstone in a number of fundraisings, including the establishment of Blackstone Property Partners, Blackstone’s core+ real estate fund, and its various co-investment vehicles
- Sixth Street (f/k/a TSSP) in connection with the sale of a minority interest to Dyal Capital Partners
Elliott has also previously served as a Consultant to Blackstone. Prior to his legal career, Elliott worked several years in investment banking.
Elliott received his J.D. and M.B.A. from Northwestern University in 2014. He received his B.B.A. in Accounting and Finance from Yonsei University in 2006. He is fluent in Korean. Elliott is admitted to practice in California and New York.
