Angus Lennox

Angus Lennox is a Partner in the Firm’s Real Estate Practice. Based in London, Angus has extensive experience advising on real estate private equity matters across jurisdictions. Clients turn to Angus for his innovative approach to complex real estate deals, including some of the sector’s most challenging and impactful matters.

Prior to joining Simpson Thacher, Angus was Managing Director in Blackstone’s European Real Estate Group. In that role, he focused on public and private M&A and joint ventures.

Notable experience prior to joining Simpson Thacher includes guiding Blackstone on:

• Multiple take-private transactions, including of Taliesin Property Fund, Hispania, Sponda, Dream Global, Hansteen, St Modwen, Industrials REIT and GCP Student Living;
• The €12.25 billion sale of Logicor to CIC;
• The build-out of Mileway, through the acquisition of over 1,700 assets, and subsequent €21 billion recapitalisation;
• The formation of Sage Homes;
• The acquisitions of IQ Student Accommodation (£4.7 billion), Network Rail’s commercial real estate portfolio alongside Telereal Trillium (£1.46 billion), Hotel Investment Partners and subsequent stake sale to GIC, a majority stake in Hembla and subsequent sale to Vonovia, OfficeFirst, and a portfolio of over 200 Swedish logistics and industrial assets from Castellum ($2.2 billion); and
• The investment in The Office Group and subsequent merger with Fora.

 Angus received his LL.B. (Hons) in Law from Durham University.
