A Partner in Simpson Thacher’s Financial Institutions Practice, Spencer Sloan’s practice focuses on advising domestic and international financial institutions and their holding companies in connection with regulatory, supervisory, enforcement and governance matters. Spencer regularly counsels U.S. and foreign banks, investors and other regulated financial services firms in connection with mergers and acquisitions and capital markets transactions before the major financial services regulators, including the Federal Reserve Board, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, as well as state banking regulators. He also advises banking clients on regulatory compliance matters, activity and structuring issues and enforcement actions.
