Litigation Partners Martin Bell, Marc Berger, Nicholas Goldin, Jeffrey Knox, Joshua Levine, Michael Osnato, Karen Porter and John Terzaken authored an article titled, “DOJ Announces Corporate Whistleblower Policy That Offers Financial Rewards for Tips,” which was published by The Corporate Governance Advisor. The article discussed the DOJ’s recent announcement that it intends to develop a new whistleblower policy to further its efforts to induce corporations, their executives and their employees to approach the DOJ with reports of potential criminal misconduct. The piece went on to further outline aspects of the program that were revealed so far, including the emphasis on rewarding individuals who step forward with “original, non-public, truthful information not already known to the department.”
