Filing Deadline for Form BE-10 Extended to June 30 for All New Filers
The Bureau of Economic Analysis of the U.S. Department of Commerce has provided a blanket extension to June 30, 2015 for all new filers of Form BE-10. A “new filer” refers to a U.S. company or person that is required to file on the BE-10 but has never filed any BEA survey of U.S. direct investment abroad, including the BE-10, BE-11 and BE-577 surveys.
The BE-10 is a five-year statistical survey that generally applies to any U.S. company that had a direct or indirect ownership or control of 10% or more of the voting stock (or its equivalent) of a non-U.S. business enterprise at any time during its 2014 fiscal year.
