The Final SEC Rule on Political Contributions by Investment Advisers

On June 30, 2010, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission approved Rule 206(4)-5 under the U.S. Investment Advisers Act of 1940, as amended, intended to address practices by investment advisers involving campaign contributions and other payments to government clients and elected officials able to exert influence on such clients.
