SEC Adopts Amendments to Cross-Border Tender Offer, Exchange Offer and Business Combination Rules and Beneficial Ownership Reporting Rules
In a release dated September 19, 2008, the SEC adopted amendments to the rules relating to cross-border tender offers, exchange offers and business combinations originally adopted in 1999. The SEC also provided interpretive guidance on a number of matters under the existing rules. The revised rules will take effect 60 days following publication in the Federal Register.
