06.20.08

Simpson Thacher intellectual property litigation partner Patrick E. King, together with associates Noah M. Leibowitz and Gregory T. Chuebon, published an article in the Spring 2008 edition of the Bloomberg Corporate Law Journal entitled "Breaking State Street Bank: Redefining the Scope of Patentable Subject Matter for the 21st Century." The article examines three Federal Circuit cases: In re Comiskey, In re Nuijten, and In re Bilski. Together, these cases could potentially rewrite the rules of patentable subject matter jurisprudence in the Federal Circuit.
