Simpson Thacher is representing Blackstone in connection with an agreement to sell a minority stake of approximately 24.9% in specialty packaging company EPL Ltd to Indorama Ventures Public Company Limited, through its indirect subsidiary Indorama Netherlands B.V., for INR 19,079 million (US$221 million). The deal is expected to close in the coming months, subject to customary regulatory approvals.
EPL operates 21 production facilities across 11 countries, catering to global brands in the oral care, cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries. The Firm advised Blackstone on its initial investment in EPL in 2019.
