Simpson Thacher represented Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC and Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC in connection with the registered follow-on offering of 4,887,500 shares of common stock by Aspen Aerogels, Inc. (“Aspen”), which includes the exercise in full of the underwriters’ option to purchase additional shares. The offering raised approximately $97.8 million in gross proceeds.
Aspen intends to use the net proceeds from the offering for working capital, capital expenditures and general corporate purposes.
Aspen is an aerogel technology company that designs, develops and manufactures innovative, high-performance aerogel materials used primarily in the energy industrial, sustainable insulation materials and electric vehicle markets.
