Simpson Thacher represented the underwriters, led by Mizuho Securities USA LLC, BMO Capital Markets Corp., BofA Securities, Inc., J.P. Morgan Securities LLC, RBC Capital Markets, LLC and Wells Fargo Securities, LLC, in connection with the public offering by Air Lease Corporation of 300,000 shares of its 6.000% Fixed-Rate Reset Non-Cumulative Perpetual Preferred Stock, Series D, representing $300 million in aggregate liquidation preference.
A portion of the net proceeds of the offering will be used to redeem Air Lease Corporation’s outstanding 6.150% Fixed-to-Floating Rate Non-Cumulative Perpetual Preferred Stock, Series A, and any remaining proceeds for general corporate purposes, which may include, among other things, the purchase of commercial aircraft and the repayment of existing indebtedness.
Air Lease Corporation is an aircraft leasing company, principally engaged in purchasing commercial aircraft and leasing them to airlines around the world.
