Simpson Thacher was named the 2024 “Private Equity Team of the Year” by Legal Business at its 27th Annual Legal Business Awards in London. The Firm was recognized for advising on more than one-third of all announced private equity transactions with a value of $5 billion or more in 2023, as well as for its preeminence in the fund formation space—including advising on the establishment of CVC Capital Partners IX, which closed at €26 billion and was reported by PEI as the largest-ever buyout fund.
Additionally, Jason Glover, Managing Partner of the Firm’s London office, was recognized as the Highly Commended finalist in the “Management Partner of the Year” category, which recognizes a managing partner, senior partner, head of chambers, chief executive or chief operating officer who has led the way for their business over the past year. The Firm was also named a finalist in the “U.S. Law Firm of the Year,” “Corporate Team of the Year,” and “Real Estate Team of the Year” categories.
