Corporate Partners Ryan Brizek and Meaghan Kelly participated in the Practicing Law Institute’s (“PLI”) “Investment Management 2024: Current Issues & Trends” program on July 30-31 in New York.
Ryan served as Co-Chair of the conference and gave the opening remarks. He co-led a fireside chat with the Director of the Securities and Exchange Commission’s Division of Investment Management, Natasha Vij Greiner, and a discussion with senior SEC rulemaking officials titled “SEC Division of Investment Management’s Strategic Agenda.” Ryan also moderated a panel titled “Alternative Investment Products to Access Private Markets,” which explored the democratization of private markets, including the growth of products providing exposure to infrastructure, private equity, private credit, venture capital, real estate or secondaries.
Meaghan spoke on the “SEC Compliance and Examination Issues for Advisers and Funds” panel, which addressed key adviser and fund compliance issues and reviewed lessons learned from examinations, including related to recently implemented rules.
