Simpson Thacher was highlighted in an article in The American Lawyer’s Pro Bono Report titled, “The Work That Matters: Highlights From the Year in Big Law Pro Bono,” which featured 15 standout matters showcasing the legal industry's top pro bono efforts in 2023. The Firm was recognized for its role, in partnership with the ACLU of Hawaii and Legal Aid at Work, in securing a significant settlement on behalf of female student-athletes at Hawaii’s largest high school, James Campbell High School, in the Title IX athletics class action lawsuit against the Hawaii Department of Education and the Oahu Interscholastic Association.
