Simpson Thacher represented MidCap Financial Investment Corporation, a publicly traded business development company (NASDAQ: MFIC) (the “Company”), in its offering of $80.0 million aggregate principal amount of its 8.00% Notes due 2028 (the “Notes”), which included a partial exercise by the underwriters of their option to purchase additional Notes to cover overallotments. The transaction closed on December 13, 2023.
The Company intends to use the net proceeds of the Notes offering to repay a portion of outstanding indebtedness under its senior secured revolving credit facility.
