Litigation Partner Joseph McLaughlin was named a “Class Action/Mass Tort Litigation Trailblazer” by the National Law Journal. Joe was recognized for his successes representing clients in complex litigation across a wide array of industries, both at the trial and appellate court levels. In its profile of Joe, NLJ highlighted his authorship of McLaughlin on Class Actions: Law and Practice, one of the most widely-cited treatises in federal and state appellate and trial courts on class action and stockholder derivative litigation. “Early in my career, I realized that fast-evolving class action, stockholder derivative litigation, and arbitration would touch virtually every industry, so I set out to use my experience in those areas as the platform to write and continually expand a two-volume treatise synthesizing a complex body of law, which for 20 years has been a widely-cited practical resource for judges and practitioners,” Joe said.
