Partner Leah Malone was quoted in an E&E News article titled, “States Shrug Off Warnings, Plow Ahead With Anti-ESG Laws,” which discussed the patchwork of state laws that have emerged with anti-ESG sentiments this year. The article explored how the differences in each law makes it difficult to develop a unified approach and Leah noted that, “The laws are all so bespoke and different from one another. It’s very hard to put them under the same umbrella, other than the fact that they’re motivated by a similar sentiment.” She further explained, “The details in these laws have a very significant impact. Which is part of the challenge here — every single one of these laws needs its own analysis.”
