Jason Glover, Managing Partner of the Firm’s London office, was profiled in a Law.com International article, which detailed his work experience and path to become a preeminent name in the world of private equity funds, as well as the Firm’s London growth following his accession to management. Jason noted that focusing on ways to add value for clients early on in his career was a key to his success, explaining that “It really came down to accepting that you were only likely to gain more clients if you could strike a clear understanding with that client and add value for them.” Jason added that at Simpson Thacher, “We just play our own game, and we’re strategic about it, so we’re not that bothered about other firms’ approaches. We have always been thoughtful about our expansion.” When it comes to tackling the challenge of building up Firm culture, Jason explained as Managing Partner of the London office, “You can’t be complacent. You’ve always got to be planning for the unexpected. Our lawyers are very talented people who want to continue to grow. And it’s my job to provide them with a platform to be able to do that.”
