Simpson Thacher represented certain investment funds affiliated with Blackstone Inc. (“Blackstone”) in connection with the sale by a consortium including Blackstone, an affiliate of Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, an affiliate of GIC Special Investments Pte. Ltd. and Thomson Reuters of an approximate 4% interest in London Stock Exchange Group plc ("LSEG") to Microsoft Corporation ("Microsoft"). The purchase price was not disclosed. The sale will be subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to complete in the first quarter of 2023. LSEG and Microsoft are entering into a long-term strategic partnership for next-generation data and analytics and cloud infrastructure solutions.
