Todd Crider, Head of the Firm’s Latin America Practice, spoke at the International Seminar on Self Determination, Sustainable Development and Water in the Yucatán Peninsula on October 24. Todd spoke on a panel titled, “Cenotes as Subjects of Law and the Rights of Nature.” The Seminar was hosted by the Due Process of Law Foundation and provided an international space for conversation about the right to self-determination of the Mayan communities in the Yucatán Peninsula and its connection more broadly to the collective rights to water and sustainable development.
