Counsel Vanessa Burrows participated as a speaker in a webinar titled, “Will HIPAA Compliance Issues Stop Your Deal? Assessing HIPAA Risks in M&A” hosted by the American Health Law Association on October 20th. The program focused on HIPAA considerations in M&A transactions, and featured a review of HIPAA breaches, security incidents, security risk analyses, and policies and procedures. The webinar also included an assessment of correspondence from regulators and recent enforcement actions against covered entities and business associates.
