Litigation Partner Lynn Neuner was profiled in an AmLaw Litigation Daily article highlighting her appointment as Co-Chair of Simpson Thacher’s Global Litigation Department. The piece noted Lynn’s considerable experience in other leadership roles within the Firm, including currently serving as a member of the Firm’s Executive Committee and previously serving for three years as the Firm’s Co-Administrative Partner. About these experiences, she said, “It’s like using the MBA side of your brain in addition to the JD side of your brain, because you’re really helping to run a large business.” The piece further highlighted Lynn’s diverse practice, which includes securities and M&A litigation, complex commercial cases including insurance coverage disputes, and matters before the National Advertising Division, and also described how her upbringing in a large family made her well-positioned to be a successful trial lawyer.
Jon Youngwood, Co-Chair of the Firm’s Global Litigation Department, said that Lynn “knows the ins and outs of Simpson Thacher and of her partners. She brings us an incredible energy and dedication.”
In discussing the practice more broadly, Lynn noted that she prizes “a highly collaborative approach” to litigation. “I want every member of the department to have their voice heard from the most junior partner to the most seasoned.”
Law360 also published an article detailing Lynn’s new role and quoted Bill Dougherty, Chair of Simpson Thacher’s Executive Committee, on Lynn’s outstanding credentials to co-head the Department. “She has outstanding leadership skills and is widely recognized as one of the nation's top litigators,” he said.
