Keith Noreika Quoted in IFLR on OCC’s Proposal to Rescind 2020 CRA Rule

Partner Keith Noreika was quoted in an IFLR article titled, “OCC proposal to rescind CRA rule welcomed.” The article addressed the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency’s (OCC) proposal to rescind the 2020 update to the 1977 Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), which has been widely supported. Keith explained how this move may lead to a jointly issued, uniform rule to upgrade the outdated framework of the original rule. “It’s a good thing that regulators are still exploring solutions to modernize those rules and looking at ways to better address the real-world way people bank today, as opposed to in the late 70s, or even in the early 90s,” he said.
