Litigation Partners Meaghan Kelly and Abram Ellis participated in Private Equity International’s Private Fund Compliance Fall Forum from November 9-10. Meaghan moderated the panel titled, “Regulatory & Compliance Considerations During Fundraising,” which discussed the compliance perspective during private equity fundraising, including practical tips and overarching regulatory considerations. Abram spoke on the panel titled, “Ensuring a Smooth LIBOR Transition,” in which he explained the impacts of the LIBOR transition on areas including the review of loan agreements and debt instruments, updates to disclosure documents, marketing materials, contracts and service provider agreements.

The program provided a platform for private equity and venture capital professionals to discuss the intersection of finance and compliance roles, and strategies to navigate the evolving regulatory environment. The event covered cybersecurity, SEC exams, fee and expense allocations, and conflicts of interest and valuations, among other topics.
