Rajib Chanda Quoted in Board IQ on Long-Tenured Fund Board Directors

Corporate Partner Rajib Chanda was quoted extensively in a Board IQ article titled, “These Boards Have No Rolling Stones (but Possibly Moss).” The article addresses a Board IQ analysis that found that many fund boards have not brought on any new directors in a decade or more and that some have functioned 20 years or more under the same makeup. Rajib noted that while having long-tenured directors is not necessarily bad, they may not be as effective as they can be from an oversight perspective. He explained, however, the benefits that having some long-serving directors on fund boards can bring, including valuable knowledge about fund investment strategies, the portfolio managers and the advisor’s organization.
