Corporate Senior Counsel Allison Bernbach was quoted extensively in a Private Equity Law Report article titled, “Preparing for and Facilitating the Digitization, Automation and Optimization of Compliance Programs,” stemming from a panel she participated in as part of “The Future of Your Compliance Program,” which was included in ACA Group’s Fall 2021 Virtual Conference. The article summarized key takeaways from the discussion, including how compliance professionals can prepare for the increasing digitization of compliance, expectations for how technology can help firms prepare for regulatory examinations, methods to leverage existing platforms and resources and tips for selecting new technologies. Allison explained that, when responding to regulatory examinations, technology enables compliance teams to respond to SEC requests more efficiently and noted that technology can help compliance departments schedule regular reviews of policies to ensure that policies and procedures remain current and are complied with.
