Todd Crider Quoted in The American Lawyer on Selection Process for New Supreme Court Justice in Mexico

Todd Crider, Head of the Firm’s Latin America Practice and a member of the Lawyers Council for Civil and Economic Rights of the Cyrus R. Vance Center for International Justice, was quoted in The American Lawyer in an article titled, “Lawyers Call for Transparency in Mexico High Court Justice Selection.” The article highlighted the recent report from the Lawyers Council which called on the Mexican legal community to actively participate in the process to appoint a new Supreme Court justice in the country and included recommendations to strengthen the selection process. Todd noted, “a good business environment will depend on the legal certainty derived from a strong judiciary with independent judges that is able to guarantee the full exercise of civil and economic rights.”
