Litigation Partners Marc Berger and Steve Blake and Corporate Partner Mark Brod will speak at a virtual conference titled, “SPACs, De-SPACs and SPAC Litigation: Current Developments, Litigation, Investigations and What’s on the Horizon?” on September 28th. The program, hosted by Sandpiper Partners, will address the lifecycle of SPACs, including the legal, business, accounting and regulatory issues arising out of SPACs and the resulting publicly-listed companies.
Marc will participate on the panel titled, “Regulatory Activity/Investigations of SPACs,” which will discuss regulatory risks related to SPACs, scrutiny from regulators and the market, and best practices for both investors and target companies subject to government inquiries and whistleblower allegations. Steve will moderate the panel titled, “Securities and Corporate Litigation: Allegations, Current Cases and What is Yet to Come,” which will address SPAC-related litigation trends and provide perspective on future activity and risk management. Mark will participate on the panel titled, “SPACs Today—Corporate Finance: Current Trends & Developments,” which will discuss the steps that industry participants and advisors are undertaking to enhance due diligence, provide investor comfort on transaction valuations and prepare operating companies for the challenges of the public markets.
