Peter Gilman Quoted in Private Equity Law Report on Single Investor Fund Structures and Enhanced Information Rights

Funds Partner Peter Gilman was quoted in a Private Equity Law Report article titled, “Common Approaches to Structuring Single Investor Funds and Enhanced Information Rights Sought by Investors (Part Two of Two).” The article, the final in a two-part series, analyzed types of single investor fund (SIF) structures and the range of enhanced information rights for SIF investors. Peter noted that, despite becoming fairly bespoke upon incorporating LPs’ preferences, a SIF is quite similar to that of a traditional PE fund, with the exception of being limited to a small number of investors. Peter further explained that managers are generally willing to provide enhanced transparency to SIF investors, an important aspect of this type of fund, because they typically only make SIFs available to those with whom they have significant, long-standing relationships.
