Goldman Sachs Asset Management and Charlesbank Capital Partners to Acquire Ownership of MDVIP

Simpson Thacher is advising the Private Equity business within Goldman Sachs Asset Management in connection with its definitive agreement to acquire ownership of MDVIP, Inc. in partnership with Charlesbank Capital Partners, from Leonard Green & Partners and Summit Partners. The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of this year and is subject to the receipt of certain regulatory approvals and the satisfaction of other customary closing conditions.

Founded in 2000, MDVIP is a national leader in personalized membership-based healthcare with a national network of more than 1,100 primary care physicians and 357,000 patients.
