Simpson Thacher represented Morgan Stanley as administrative and collateral agent for the lenders in connection with the Frontera Holdings LLC chapter 11 cases, which commenced on February 3, 2021 before Judge Marvin Isgur in the Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas. Frontera’s plan of reorganization was confirmed on April 26, 2021 and went effective on July 28, 2021. Under the Plan, the lenders’ outstanding loans were converted to an exit credit facility of and equity in the reorganized company.
Frontera Holdings operates a 526 MW combined cycle natural gas plant near Mission, Texas, and exports power to Mexico.
