Simpson Thacher represented Citibank, N.A., as administrative agent, in connection with Vencer Energy, LLC’s reserve-based financing used, in part, to finance Vencer’s previously announced acquisition of Midland Basin assets from Hunt Oil Company. Vencer Energy, LLC is Vitol Inc.’s U.S. upstream company, and this acquisition represents Vencer’s first investment since it was established by Vitol in 2020.
