Simpson Thacher Advises on Top Funds in H1 2021

Law360 highlighted the Firm’s role advising on three of the top 10 funds raised in the first half of 2021—including 2021’s largest fund raised to date—in an article titled, “Top First-Half Funds Show PE's Growing Global Reach.” The article detailed the top 10 funds raised so far in 2021 according to Preqin data and noted that Simpson Thacher was the only firm to advise on more than one top 10 fund so far this year. Michael Wolitzer, Head of the Firm’s Investment Funds Practice, was also quoted in the article and highlighted an increasing globalization of the industry. Michael noted that vehicles focused on the U.S., Europe and Asia were among the top 10 funds and said, “It speaks to the strength of the industry around the world.”
