Simpson Thacher is representing BC Partners in connection with the sale by BCEC Fund IX of one of its portfolio companies, Springer Nature, to a Single Asset Continuation Fund established by BC Partners and capitalised by lead investor Neuberger Berman, together with reinvesting BCEC Fund IX limited partners, BC Partners’ most recent fund, BC Fund XI and various syndicate investors, in one of Europe’s largest-ever such transactions worth over €1 billion. Closing is expected to occur in Q3 2021.
