Simpson Thacher represented EQT AB (“EQT”) in connection with the formation and raising of EQT’s flagship private equity fund, EQT IX. The fund marks EQT’s first key fund closing since EQT AB’s public listing in 2019.
At €15.6 billion, EQT IX is the second largest private equity fund ever raised for a European-based sponsor, demonstrating continued support for EQT’s active ownership approach and strategy to invest in themes that have been accelerated during the global pandemic, such as Healthcare, TMT and Services.
