Simpson Thacher represented the selling shareholders in connection with the sale of Termovalle S.A.S. E.S.P. (“Termovalle”) to the Glenfarne Group. Termovalle operates a combined cycle gas-fired generation plant in Colombia with capacity of 241 MW. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The selling shareholders included Latin American private equity investment firms SCL Energía Activa S.A. and Altra Investments.
The Simpson Thacher team included S. Todd Crider, Borja Marcos, Josh Bernard and Laura Ribero (M&A); and Sophie Staples (Tax).
