Electronic Arts Completes $1.5 Billion Senior Notes Offering

Simpson Thacher recently represented Electronic Arts Inc. (“EA”) in connection with the offering of $750 million aggregate principal amount of 1.85% Senior Notes due 2031 (the “2031 Notes”) and $750 million aggregate principal amount of 2.95% Senior Notes due 2051 (the “2051 Notes” and, together with the 2031 Notes, the “Notes”). The Notes are being offered pursuant to an effective shelf registration statement that EA previously filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The proceeds of the offering are being used for general corporate purposes, including but not limited to acquisitions (including, for example, the recently announced Glu Mobile Inc. transaction).
